Seeing Architecture Differently

I was recently asked to contribute to an article in Popular Photography magazine about my architecture work. They wanted to feature the above image of the Frank Gehry staircase at the Art Gallery of Ontario. It is nice when your way of seeing things differently is appreciated by others and that's exactly what happened in my case. While there are a lot of straight lines in architecture, I am drawn to curves as a strong visual element in my photographs.  Plus it adds a bit of flavor to the pictures and makes them pop.  In this case, I not only wanted to highlight the curves but also show the interplay of natural light coming in from the glass roof and the wooden texture of the spiraling structure.
